is the eTwinning Project 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 for 5 European Schools:

'INTO NEWS' is a project in which young people are reporters

They comment and express their points of view on different events which take place around them, in their countries and in Europe. They write, create and edit articles about serious matters that concern Europeans as well as things which they are interested in in a special school magazine. The newsletter is going to be distributed among students, teachers and parents of all partner schools. In each edition there is one keynote.
Our paper is called eUTopical - playing with the ideas of EU, topical and Utopia.
The keynote is accompanied by events organized in each partner school. The project also assumes carrying out research to get a wider spotlight on young people's attitudes towards different kinds of areas
The work on the project has been divided into phases. Each phase related to one edition of the school newsletter. Students watch news and programmes on TV, read newspapers, listen to the radio to have up-to -date news. They collect and select information and choose the most interesting pieces of information. Next, they comment events and express their points of view. They use Microsoft Publisher and other programmes to publish articles. Students also conduct research connected with different areas. The areas of interest and the results of the research are described in the newsletter. Additionally, the partner schools organize events at the schools which are related to a keynote in each edition of the school newsletter.
